Yesterday after dinner, my husband, kids, and I played a simple game of charades. My son earned points by choosing yoga poses to represent some of his words (dog, chair). He's fascinated by yoga and often tries to practice along with me, or better yet, to "teach" a class of his own whenever he can find a willing student.
That must be why he was willing to model for me in this series on kids' stretching exercises. Yes, even though we admire their natural flexibility, kids do need to stretch purposefully too. It helps their bodies retain that built-in limberness. Try a few family stretches in the morning or right before bed. You'll all reap the benefits.
