I have tried lots of different ways to exercise, but I have never been a runner. I know that those who love it, love it, and it's an efficient way to burn calories and get your heart pumping. I just wasn't a fan, usually preferring bicycling for my cardio workouts.
Still, I do enjoy walking and from time to time I have tried to rev up and add some short running intervals to my walks. But I found it difficult to keep track of what I was doing on the run. Did I just do three minutes of walking and then four minutes of running? Or was it the other way around? Am I on my second running interval or my third? How long have I been out here for anyway?
So when I got an iPad recently, I decided to download the Couch to 5K program app. Aha! Now I have a little voice in my ear helping me know when to walk and when to run (is anyone else hearing Kenny Rogers here?). Read my review of the couch to 5k program app, and add your own if you have experience with this or another fitness app.
