I'm in the midst of the post-holiday clean-up and catch-up, and somehow feeling even more pressed for time that I did last month. (How is that possible?) My long to-do list, coupled with the low temperatures and icy roads, have me looking for quick, effective, indoor workouts.
One that fits that bill: Kettlebells. Have you tried them yet? These weights look like a ball with a U-shaped handle attached, and they come in a variety of sizes. Since I've never taken a class, I used a DVD for kettlebell beginners to learn the basics. Now I do one of its three workouts a few times a week. They're tough, but can be completed in less than 30 minutes. And my husband, who's used kettlebells with a personal trainer, pops the DVD in for some of his home workouts too. He just uses a bell that's twice as heavy as mine!
