First Lady Michelle Obama's health campaign, Let's Move, celebrated its third birthday over the weekend. Mrs. Obama first announced the creation of her ambitious initiative to end childhood obesity on February 9, 2013. Since then, she has worked toward this goal with a wide array of people, businesses, and organizations: the Walt Disney Company and Wal-mart; corner grocery stores and big restaurant chains; local governments and religious leaders; even family destinations like museums and gardens.
We can thank Let's Move, at least in part, for healthier school lunches, easier-to-understand nutritional guidelines, and a more helpful Presidential Youth Fitness Program. Many happy returns of the day, Let's Move. Let's see what else you can do!
