Event: Great Outdoors Month

What to do: The president, along with the governors of many states, issue an official proclamation for Great Outdoors Month, urging citizens to both enjoy and protect private lands (all year round, but especially during June).
Also this month, the National Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds offers its Go Camping America promotion, a collection of deals and discounts at parks and camping/outdoor supply stores. And at the end of June, you can join the Great American Backyard Campout in your own yard or a nearby park.
