What to do: Raise your hand if you and your family spend time in your community's parks, playgrounds, or pools. Do you play rec league sports or take park-and-rec sponsored classes? Every year, the National Recreation and Park Association encourages parks departments to observe National Park and Recreation Month with special events, such as nature walks, safety clinics, or volunteer opportunities.
